Prosilica GC655 with PCI-6010?

Will the Prosilica GC655 camera work with an older PCI card like the PCI-6010?  Compatible hardware recommendations for simlar cameras are all newer PCIe cards.  Also, NI doesn't list the GC655 as being NI-supported.  Is this true?  It's essentially the same as the NI-supported GC650 but with a larger CCD size.  Thanks.

Your rationale is correct that all GC series cameras are functionally similar in behavior.

All AVT/Prosilica GigE Vision GC series cameras, as well as GE, GB, and GS, are NI-compatible.  The new GX (dual port LAG) is currently being qualified with intent to be NI compatible as well.

I cannot speak for the specific card you mention, the PCI-6010, only for the ongoing partnership between NI and AVT/Prosilica to insure compatibility as new products come to market.

The PCI-6010 is no camera interface card at all, but can e.g. be used to trigger the camera or readout the camera output states. For this purpose, both devices will be compatible.

The GC655 is furthermore compatible to the NI IMAQdx driver, which would be needed to acquire images. The camera needs therefor to be connected to a network interface card. NI has a great tutorial on how to setup the network card, software and camera. The cameras are not all listed in the NI camera configurator at the moment, but do work all, as they do only differ in resolution.
