I have a DAQCard-4350 (PCMCIA) and a PSH32-TC6 cable for taking thermocouple readings. I want to use this card to take voltage readings. The installation guide for the PSH32-TC6 (321637C-01) cable says on page one, “The pod provides connections to all NI PCMCIA-4350 DIO lines and to all but two analog input channels (CH)”. How do I get access to the analog inputs?

J-Kane,
Thank you for using NI forums! The two AI channels you do not have access to are CH0 which is dedicated to the cold-junction sensor and CH1 which is dedicated to auto-zeroing circuitry. It is implemented automatically, and thus limits your input channels to 14 instead of 16. With that cable, you cannot access those two channels.

J-Kane,
If you would like to access those two additional channels, consider using a TBX-68.

Thank you. But I asked how I get access to the analog inputs. I only need to input one channel but did not know how to input the voltage using the PSH32-TC6.
Now I know. By doing a little inspection of the cable and a voltmeter I have found that I have to take one of the mini-thermocouples and rempve the thermocouple wire and use copper wire. Attach this copper wire to my voltage source and then I am reading voltages and not temperatures.
