Reading 9213 cold junction temperature via OPC

Hi,

I have seen examples of how to read the NI 9213 cold junction temperature using Labview but can this be done via OPC? I have tried to create a virtual channel but there doesnt appear to be a way to assign it to the cold junction temperature.

Has anybody managed to do this?

This post here is about the same (making virtual channel where CJC channel is assigned to it) issue. I think this is not available.

But the query of yours as specified in the heading, reading 9213 cold junction temperature via OPC, it has to be done in two parts...

1. Read the CJC temperature (or voltage) in LabVIEW

2. share/update/write that data to OPC server using LabVIEW.

PS: if you feel that this feature is missing (ability to configure CJC and other inetrnal channels in MAX or in DAQ Assistant), vote for my Idea here...Smiley Very Happy
