Test panel is ok but traditional channel is out of range

My setup includes a PCI-6035E card, a SCXI-1000 chassis and a SCXI-1520 module. The NI-DAQmx version is 7.4.0f0. I am trying to read a sensor with a voltage output of 2 to 6 volts. I have verified with a fluke meter that the output is 2 volts. The sensor has a signal HI(+) and a signal LO(-) which I have connected to S+ and S- of a channel in the 1520. This application is setup using Traditional NI-DAQ configurations.

When I look at the test panel for the appropiate channel i get the correct voltage but when I run a test on the Traditional channel I get an out of range red light. I duplicated the problem using a battery with a known voltage.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Hey CSN,

Thanks for posting on the NI Forums!  The SCXI-1520 module is normally used for strain measurements.  To read a voltage with this module, you will have to do things a little differently.  A great resource for information is our KnowledgeBase articles.  If you do a search on www.ni.com for "1520 voltage", you will find that the first link is the following KB.

Let me know if you have any further issues after following the instructions in the KnowledgeBase article.
