USB 6216 doesn't work

Solved!
Go to solution

So I plugged the USB 6216 into my NX6125 HP lap top and ran the Measurement and Automation Explorer.  It doesn't show up in the list of devices.

I run "DAQMX Read" and it doesn't see the device either.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mark

Hey Mark,

I have a couple of questions for you so we can get you up and running asap.

What version of Measurement & Automation Explorer  are you using?

What version of DAQmx?

Have you tried mulitple USB ports on your laptop?

Is it recognized as a NI device within your device manager for Windows?

What version of Windows are you running?

THanks again,

Nick

Nick,

Labview is 8.0

DAXmx is 9.01f0

Measurement and Automation Explorer is 4.0

I tried multiple ports on my laptop (back and one side)

It show up in my device manager as an unknown USB port and tried to find the driver

Thanks,

Mark

Even if you straighten out the installation problem and get the device to appear in MAX, you cannot use that version of DAQmx with LabVIEW 8.0. LabVIEW 8.0 is no longer supported and has not been for a while. This information is in the readme file on the download page. As noted here, the latest version with LabVIEW 8.0 support is DAQmx 8.7.1.
