Hi all... I'm puzzled. I found NI-DAQmx version 9.7.0 released on February 25, 2013 and NI-DAQmx version 9.6.2 released on March 4, 2013.
Reading "readme" files does not clarify.
What's going on ? Two teams that does not talk with each other ?

9.6.2 appears to be a port to support Windows 8 (which 9.7 does not).

Really ?

9.7 is the current version of DAQmx and has new device and feature support compared to 9.6.2. I'm not sure off the top of my head why 9.6.2 has a more recent date.

That was what I believed until today, when the NI Updater popped up proposing 9.6.2 as new version.
Just to recap, in chronological order:

DAQmx 9.7 is still the latest version with the newest device and API support. The "Release Date" refers to the post to web date and it may not correspond to the versioning scheme.
We will be pushing DAQmx 9.6.2 with Update Service and the LabVIEW 2012 SP1 Driver DVD. DAQmx 9.7 will only be offered as a web download or included as a DVD with hardware that requires it for support.

Thanks for the reply.
The reason because you are pushing an outdated version is something that goes beyond my understanding.
