Hi,
My lab is searching for the optimal Pressure Transducer with an operating range of 0-2000psig. We'd like to purchase approximately 16 devices, and we are wondering what brands of pressure transducers have shown the best results, ease of use, and minimal wiring to the NI-USB-6009.
Thanks,
DevM

Hi DevM,
For starters, I think ni.com/sensors will help. Once you get there, click on the "Sensors Advisor" on the bottom of the page and follow through the inquiry to specify what you're looking for.
Since we don't manufacture our own sensors, you might want to consider talking to the manufacturers (usually PCB Piezotronics or Honeywell) for the most complete and up-to-date specs.
Since the USB-6009 is generic in its analog inputs, it will not provide any excitation. So if you do need excitation for the pressure transducer you choose, you will either have to excite it externally, or use another device. You could potentially use a USB-9237 to excite the sensor from an internal source (that is, internal to the 9237). Look here for more information on how to use this sensor for analog input measurements.
Also, here is an overview of how Honeywell sensors can connect directly to the 9237. It explains a little bit more on your "ease of use" and "minimal wiring" inquiries. Finally, you might look here to see an overview of the 9237.
Hope this helps,
