cDAQ-9133 connection for LabView Real-Time

Hi,

I am trying to acquire data in my computer using cDAQ-9133. After installing software as tells manual in 'Installing the cDAQ Controller for
LabVIEW Real-Time', the host computer does not detect the controller.

I tried with USB and ethernet connection and the device does not appears in NI MAX or NI device manager.

I also installed drivers in a different computer and I had same results.

Can anyone tell me if I am doing something wrong or something?

Hello,

For initial setup, the cDAQ-9133 needs to have NI-DAQmx 14.5 or later. To do this, connect an ethernet cable directly from your computer to the device, then go into the adapter settings (Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center) in Windows and set a static IPv4 address in the 169.254.x.x format and a subnet mask of 255.255.0.0.

Power on the cDAQ-9133, then hold the reset button down for 5 seconds before releasing. The STATUS LED light should start blinking three times every few seconds, meaning that the controller is now in safe mode. Hold the RESET button down for five seconds again and then release it. This should reset the IP address on the device. It should now show up under remote systems in MAX. Try this a few times if it does not work. Once available in MAX, you can configure the IP settings. To communicate properly, the device needs to be on the same subnet as the computer.

If you still cannot get it to connect, try connecting a monitor to the mini display port and viewing the IP address on the device. Set your computer IP address to the same subnet, and it should show up in MAX. You can also try the 255.255.255.0 subnet mask and adjust your IP address accordingly if you are still having connection issues.

Hope this helps!
