What are the differences between the real time version of cDAQ stand along and cRIO? The concepts sound pretty similiar to me. Pro and Con for each?

Hello jyang,
As far as the Real-Time version of Stand Alone cDAQ and cRIO, they should be the same. You install LabVIEW, then LabVIEW Real-Time, then the drivers (NI-DAQmx for the cDAQ and NI-RIO for the cRIO).One noticeable difference between both platforms is that cDAQ can use the DAQmx drivers, and Real-Time capabilities. However, you will NOT be able to use LabVIEW FPGA, as the Stand-Alone cDAQ lacks FPGA. I would also mention the criteria that you want to have when choosing FPGA over DAQ, like if you want to have dozens of counters, true parallel tasks, or reconfigure you I/O.
