drivers for NI-DAQmx Simulated Devices (NI9211 etc) in cDAQ9174

Solved!
Go to solution

I am trying to understand the three methods of calculating the maximum analog input sampling rate of an NI CompactDAQ system as stated below

http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4320

Problem 1

In method 1. Build your physical hardware system or simulate your configuration in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) using NI-DAQmx Simulated Devices

Buy using my MAX, I was able to build a simulated chassis NI cDAQ7192, however the modules NI 9233, NI 9215 and NI 9211 can not be found in the MAX. Do I need special drives for them?

My MAX is verson 4.6.2f1 and LABVIEW2009.

Problem 2

Following the Method 2 to use the NI CompactDAQ Advisor, 'Calculate analog input performance' is not shown up after configuring the chasis.

Thanks a lot for all your help

Your version of MAX and LabVIEW is irrelevant. what is your version of DAQmx?

After adding the chassis, did you right click on it to select 'Configure Simulated cDAQ Chassis'? I did that and was able to select all of the devices you mentioned.
