myDAQ not being recognized in LabView 2015 Windows 7

Hi,

I am trying to link up my NI myDAQ to LabView 2015 to take some voltage readings but for some reason within LabView's Supported Physical Channels window my myDAQ never shows up. All it says is "Reading System Configuration. Please wait...." and it does not make any progress. My computer recognizes myDAQ in the control panel under devices however LabView is having a hard time recognizing it. I do not understand why this is happening and why LabView cannot recognize myDAQ. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

Do the test panels in MAX work? Does the device go through self-test?

I am not sure if the test panels in MAX work or if the device goes through self check. How can I check to see for those two things?

The procedure is shown here: http://www.ni.com/tutorial/4638/en/

It was created for a much older software version, but it will work the same.

Did you install the corresponding NI-DAQmx drivers for your device? http://www.ni.com/download/ni-daqmx-16.0/6120/en/.

Hi all,

Thank you all for your help and suggestions. I have finally been able to identify and fix the issue. I had installed all the necessary drivers and everything but for some reason the MAX database was malfunctioning and I was unable to run the self-tests etc. I had to launch MAX and reset it under the Tools drop-tab. Once I reset MAX, it immediately recognized myDAQ and I was able to use it just fine with LabVIEW.

Thanks again for your help and promptness.
