single pulse generation

Hi

I require to generate a single square pulse of a user defined duration. I require an indication for the end of the pulse which is used to start another function. I have attached a portion of the programme where I want to use it. I appreciate if some one can help me on this.

Thanks

I think we have a new candidate for Rube Golberg Code. Smiley Very Happy What you have there simplifies down to this. What exactly are you trying to do? There is no delays or ahny hardware functions in your VI. Does this have anything at all to do with Multifunction DAQ? Do you want to set a software Boolean high for a specific time or a digital ouptut?

Hi

I require to generate a digital output when the switch is switched on for a specific period (say 10 seconds). During this time the output shoud go high .After the 10 seconds duration the output should go low ( while the switch is ON). Once this output goes low I require another pulse to generate for 10 seconds which I want to wire to another out put . I have attached a programme on this. It doesn't work properly. I would appreciate if you can modify and help me on this.

Thanks

Mal,
I'm not sure why you are using the Delay Values express VI, which results in complicated dynamic data. Your task should be easily accomplished with the Elapsed Time express vi. It has a output which goes high (or low with an inverter) when a specified time elapses. Play with that vi, and you should get it working quickly.
