VeriStand Introduction and Use in Propulsion Testing
VeriStand is an NI software tool for easily developing real-time data acquisition and control systems. With VeriStand, you can acquire, process, and output analog and digital signals on one or more NI real-time controllers. The behavior of the real-time system is defined primarily by configuring elements in a hierarchal structure in a “System Explorer” window. Other features include:
- An intuitive UI editor
- A text-based scripting language for programming auto-sequences
- Compatibility with LabVIEW and DIAdem
One notable aspect of VeriStand-based test systems is how quickly end-users can become familiar with the system framework and IDE—allowing them to modify and customize a system to meet their own specific requirements over the course of a test program.
This presentation by John Bergmans of Bergmans Mechatronics, LLC provides an introduction to VeriStand and show how it can be used effectively in propulsion system testing.
