New Default Avatar Collection Available
With the move to responsive design and larger avatars now visible on the site, we have updated the default avatar collection to a higher resolution set. The legacy collection will no longer be available, but your avatar will not be changed if you already selected from the legacy collection.
To update your avatar, go to My Settings > Avatars to choose from the new collection.
You also have the option to upload your own custom avatar. Keep in mind that all avatars are displayed in a circle across the site. The avatar displayed on the user profile page is a 170x170 pixel circle. The avatars displayed elsewhere are a 38x38 pixel circle. The cropping mechanism will crop a square of your image to within those circle sizes. The maximum file size is 1000K.
