Hi,
Has anybody managed to install software newer than "NI Elvis II 19.1 - June 2019" on their Elvis III system? If so, which version and how did you do it? I'm using Firmware Version 8.8.0f0
Thanks in advance.
Best wishes,
Jeremy

Again to answer my own question. At my institution we seem to have Licences to Labview 2021 and not Labview 2022. However I have installed the 2022 Elvis support which then (eventually) pops up prompting for which version of Labview you want to support where I selected 2021. However the Default install does not include the Elvis III toolkit support, so Measurement Live won't work. If you go into options for other items to install you'll find “Labview Elvis III Toolkit 3.0.0.49152-0+f0”. Installing this then allows Measurement Live to work. I've check Labview 2022-SP1 (32 bit) to drive a Quanser board and that seems to work fine.
My only problem now is Software Add/Remove not working correctly from a University Windows 10 PC, but working fine form my Windows 10 Home edition Laptop.
Best wishes,
Jeremy

It's really frustrating that NI doesn't have better documentation of how to set up the ELVIS III board with newer versions of LabVIEW. Your post is the most informative piece of information I've come across. The problem for me, is that Labview Elvis III Toolkit 3.0.0.49152-0+f0 doesn't show up as an option to install. I've installed LabVIEW 2022 and selected 2022, but that leaves me without a compatible Real Time compatible library. So now I'm working on LabVIEW 2021 and selecting either 2022 or 2021 environments still doesn't yield a workable solution for running VIs (ELVIS project) and using Measurements Live.

One of the most unsupported companies. Does not even tell you how to find those versions installed on the Elvis. Disgusting.
