EEPROM stops working after disabling power

Hello,

I am trying to use the FlexRio Module development kit to build an interface card that connects to the NI FPGA. The FPGA I have is the 7976R.

I was able to write the read the correct IO module ID that I wanted and the board was running smoothly.

In an attempt to not have the system running overnight, I turned the power to the module off by using the status tab in the IO module properties window.

The system powered off correctly, but when I tired to power it back on by hitting the same button, it gave me an error and now the board does not power on.

It also says EEPROM not present, which is unusual.

When I try to read the IO module ID I get the following error:

Error -304004 occurred at Interface_QueryIOModID_Session.vi:5750001

Possible reason(s):

No acknowledgement was received after the I2C bus cycle.

Complete call chain:
Interface_QueryIOModID_Session.vi:5750001
FlexRIO_Host_QueryIOModID.vi

I also get the same error, when trying to write to the EEPROM.

Does this mean that the EEPROM has been rendered useless? Am I making some other error here?

Can you please help me out?

Best,

AM
