Is systemd an option for Linux RT?

I need to register a software as a background service. Can this be done with systemd? Are there other options?

Hi Dermot,

NI Linux RT doesn't use systemd, it still works with SysVinit. Also with SysVinit it should be no problem to create background service. I'm not an expert with this stuff, try googling for "SysVinit". Maybe the following could be a good starting point, too: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/SysVinit
