Any way to auto-register for dependencies' feeds via CLI?

Solved!
Go to solution

When I double click a .nipkg file to install it via GUI and there is a missing dependency such as a LabVIEW RTE version, the install dialog will automatically register for that feed and install the latest version. Is there a way to accomplish the same feat using the nipkg.exe CLI? When I use the --include-recommended argument I get back a complaint that the package is not available in a registered feed:

Required package not found: 'ni-labview-2023-runtime-engine-x86 (>= 23.1.0.49248-0+f96)'. Verify the missing package is available in a registered feed and the package is compatible with this version of Package Manager and operating system.

Derek, unfortunately nipkg.exe does not have any the capability to find missing dependencies from ni.com as is supported by the NIPackageManager.exe.
