ErrorCode: DotnetClientPackageManagerNotInstalledError

Hello everyone, so whenever I try to download version 19.6 of NI, I receive an error code that says, "DotnetClientPackageManagerNotInstalledError". I'm on Windows 11 Pro and my specific build is version 22621.

I've installed .NET version 4.8.1 (I can't downgrade from version 4.8), and the default version of .NET on windows 11 Pro is version 4.8.

I've also installed nuget (which is a C# package manager), and even after all that, I still can't install NI.

To add on to this, I've tried installing quite a few different versions of NI, and they all throw the same error during installation.

Hi Faraz, when you reference the "version 19.6" in your post, I assume that you are talking about NI Package Manager 19.6, and if so, it was released in Nov 2019 and only listed support for Windows 7 SP1, 8.1 and 10.

Question: Is there a reason that you are not installing a later version of NI Package Manager?

I am not aware of anything in older versions that would prevent it from installing on Windows 11, but our NI Product Compatibility for Microsoft Windows 11 web page lists NI Package Manager 2022 Q3 as the first version that supports Windows 11. I also know that NI Package Manager 2023 Q2 was the first version to start installing and using .NET 4.8 framework. We do not yet install 4.8.1 due to it not being supported on some older Windows 10 OS.
