Add Git to supported source code control providers

Status: Under Consideration

While integrating Git with the Sequence Editor is under consideration, there is a KB document that specifies how you can configure TestStand File Diff and Merge Utility to compare and merge changes in your sequence files when they are saved in the binary format when using any of the following Git clients

  • Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Atlassian Sourcetree
  • Git Cola
  • GitKraken
  • Tortoise Git

Git would be a valuable addition to be made to the source code control providers that you have already since it is widely used.

This should have the vote of everyone in the community.

Lack of comments from NI here clearly show that they ignore this forum. They already communicated that git support is in the roadmap.

But for some reason, 3 years were not enough for someone to take up this topic here.

DapiM, you should look to adding Fork to the KB, as it is a very nice GIT client as well.
