Graphical distinguishing of menues, pains, borders, icons etc in Teststand sequence Editor

Status: Under Consideration

We have made some improvements in 2024 Q4. Do check it out. We've reduced the background whiteness a bit and increased the contrast of the selections. We've also improved the menu & tool bars.

We will continue to monitor feedback & work on visual improvements incrementally.

I just switched from TS2019 to TS2023. I am not finding a way to configure the TS editor, witch is a hard to orientate flash of white and black screen. The color separation of the different panes, icons, step colors, fields  and  menues is not given and there are no clearly visible frames distinguished by backcolors. Working with this new GUI is tedious and not suitable, not suporting a rapid development idea. The attention of development shold be by the code and not by  the absorbing search and brain consuming editor.  How can I use the old 2019 condition gain? Could you please change this in the NEXT Teststand version?

Whoww ....finally something going on. But to be honest, I can't see a big difference and still far away from a) contrastet borders , colored icons, etc from version 2019 and b) from a black screen

Most likely we wont be going back to colored icons. We hear your feedback on the contrast & borders. The changes in 2024 Q4 is a first step. We will be working on them incrementally over multiple releases while we will gauge the feedback, as we balance out UI improvements with other new features.
If you are referring to dark mode, that has been on our radar for sometime. I don't have any timelines yet. Will keep the community posted when we pick it up.
