I am running an older version of teststand - after some time executing all of my sequences are hanging. The size of reports is small ~168kb, test stand gui is responsive - all threads are stuck in one thread.
Any ideas?
I am running a modified version of a parallel model with TS4.2 ( i know old) and never seen this type of behavior.

Has anything changed in your software or hardware setup recently that may coincide with this behavior surfacing?

No, runs for about 1/2 hour than everything freezes. This behaviour is constistent also...May be I am overflowing the buffer, but every write vi clears the serial buffer, so I shouldn't be.
when I try opening MAX and expanding the devices - it says driver hung up, looks like the 6008 card's drivers are hanging.

Are you able to troubleshoot with NI I/O Trace to observe the behavior of the driver calls while this behavior occurs?

Are you using a laptop? It sounds like USB power saving configuration of 30 minutes which will essentially kill the interface to the USB devices. That can lead to driver hangs.

Wasn't able to do that, as this would hang the system right up. I remembered that it is the Usb->Serial Driver situation, that causes grief to just about everyone using it. I have disabled powering the unit up and down, while the serial connection is enabled, added a few delays to cushion opening and closing the port - seems to be running ok now.
