The TestStand development team is considering removing the capability of the LabWindows/CVI Adapter to call .c, .lib, or .obj code modules. This capability was provided for to make it easier to migrate from the obsolete CVI Test Executive Toolkit to TestStand. The use of this capability is discouraged in TestStand systems because it is more difficult to use and support than the typical approach of calling .dll code modules. We are considering removing this functionality in the following cases:
1. Using major versions of CVI released in 2013 or later with any TestStand version
- or -
2. Using major versions of TestStand released in 2013 or later with any CVI version
Please reply to this thread if you currently use this functionality in your TestStand sequences, and if the removal as described above would be a problem for you. We appreciate your feedback!
