So you want to generate 0-5V analog voltage and also measure a 0-5V analog voltage?

Are these going to be static values or a continuously varying?

yes, and it will be continuously varying

the ni's should be a input and output

How fast will it be varying? do you know the maximum frequency of the signal you will be generating or acquiring?

we are not sure about how fast it will be varying and the maximum frequency yet. All we have so far is the electrical specifications

And do you have any accuracy requirements for the Analog Input and Output? any budget?

I ask these because the DAQ recommendation varies by the specs and cost.

The low-cost DAQs are "low-cost" because they have hardware limitations.

The cheapest DAQ with AI and AO is USB-6001

no accuracy requirements yet, but we dont have a budget. The USB ni would not work because we would need chassy for powering it and for the supply we need it to be a variable voltage output.

So, you have a long way to go.

Can you provide all the details at once instead of bits and pieces like this?
