Swapping bitness

Hello!

I have some hardware that I need to communicate with in TestStand 2021 64-bit. I'm doing this by calling different steps with LV adapter.

The problem I have is that some of the hardware require LV 64-bit and others require 32-bit. These are all third party to NI hardware.

Is it possible to have some specific step run 32-bit development environment while the rest is running 64-bit development?

I did find the articles from NI, about swapping sequence engine and having it run in 32-bit development for all and Run-time in 64 bit. But it is not really what I need.

Hi Jonas,

I am not sure why the 2nd KB does not suit your requirement.

You can put your 32 bit step/steps in a sequence.

Call this sequence in a new execution using the 32 bit as per the KB.

Hi Ravi,

Yes that is what I've done. I had some issues getting it working first but the biggest issue is that I'm allowing remote connection to TS 32bit by doing this. It wont affect this application much but it is somewhat of a security risk.
