Hi,
I am deleloping a test with TestStand 2010. I have protected sequence file changes from test users by setting a password for administrator, which I have now ... forgot (yes, I know, that is stupid!). I thought I had saved it in my password database (keePass2) but obviously I was mistaken.
I thought that by uninstalling TestStand and re-installing it I would have had the chance of resetting the user information, but I was mistaken there too ...
How can I rescue my TestStand development? Should I uninstall all NI s/w development suite?, cleanup the registry?
Any help very appreciated.
Thanks
Marco

Try renaming the User.ini file in the CFG folder, then launching TestStand SeqEditor. There should be a new User.ini file created with the default settings. ie Administrator without any password.

What is the user logged in to TestStand?

Admin is no default account. So ther could be different privileges assigned which could cause this issue
Misread, sorry

Your issue is not rooted in the user privileges but in the fact that somene has locked the SeqeunceFile using a password
