Hello,
i installed Teststand 2016 32bit on a windows 7 64bit PXI computer.
There was no error during installation but after it finished there is no starticon on desktop.
In the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\TestStand 2016\ are a lot of dlls and stuff installed but no seqedit.exe.
There is also folder NationalInstruments in Startmenu with "TestStand 2016 (32bit)" but it also only contains subfolders with
"TestStand 2016 (32-bit)\Documentation"
Tools
How can i solve this problem?
Or can i only execute TS64bit on a 64bit windows?
(During installation i selected to only install 32bit-version)
Thx

You can install 32bit applications on 64bit OS. For Windows, these processes will execute using Windows on Windows 64 (WoW64).
I've never heard of issues like that. What was the installer you were using (e.g. Developer Suite vs. custom installer built using Deployment Utility)?
Are you sure that your install media is OK?

Where did you get the installer?
It sounds like you installed the TestStand 2016 Runtime instead of the TestStand 2016. You can check in the control panel under Programs and Features, or in NI MAX to see what is installed. TestStand and the TestStand Runtime should be separate entries.
Hope this helps!

I put in the original CD labeled NITestStand2016 and select autorun.exe
Then Install NI TestStand 2016
Insert my SerialNumber
Then there is a dialog 32bit , 64bit, DeviceDrivers. Here i only select 32bit.
Dialog Box that says "NI TestStand 2016 (32bit)" will be installed -> Next
Final Window:
All products were installed successfully
Installed
NI TestStand 2016 (32-bit) [Activated]
Installation Details
NI TestStand 2016 (32-bit)
Installation Summary
No software installed or removed.
-But now in NI Max -> Software
There is a position [+] TestStand 2016, but when i open the [-] there is "TestStand Runtime" inside
-In ControlPanel-Add/RemovePrograms there is both listed "Ni TestStand 2016 (32bit) and also NI TestStand Runtime 2016 (32bit)
Strange. What now?

Hello OnlyOne,
download from the web TestStand 2016 32 Bit during this uninstall TestStand and then fresh try to install the downloaded version, if you have a tool for registry cleaning use it before you fresh install also delete the folders, where TestStand was installed.
In max it should look like
SeqEdit.exe should be found in this folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\TestStand 2016\Bin\

I uninstalled Teststand and Teststand Runtime and deleted the directory in Explorer.
Then new installation again from CD and this time 32bit and 64bit.
Now the seqeditor-icon is visible and TS can be started.
Strange behaviour, but it works.
