Please note that the Analog Output is the same as the sbRIO-9636 baseboard, +/-10V and  +/- 3mA (page 53 of specifications), if you're looking to drive external components.

Is there a way to add the daughter card hardware (LCD display, reserved IO, etc.) when starting a new project from scratch?

Hi altenbach, I just posted a starter project that includes all of the I/O prenamed and a precompiled FPGA VI that exposes each channel as well. Unfortunately there is not a way for the LabVIEW project to pull all that information in automatically.
