exercise 2 pwm switch does not take effect.

I'm following the tutorial after installing all sw and updates. the first one went on ok. exercise 2 however the behavior of the result is not as expected. when clicking on the pwm button on the front panel, the LEDs on the demo kit do turn on. the knob works and the intensity follows the counter as expected. how ever, when clicking pwm button again to turn off, the LEDs do not turn off. only when next time the Reset is turned on, the PWM will turn off. 

I'm using both the one from the tutorial folder and the solution folder, seems the same behavior. 

any one successfully executed excercise 2?

i added an iterator counter on the outer while loop. the iterator increases when pwm is false. as soon as the pwm becomes True (from the front panel), the iterator stops. Even so, the 3 inner while loops are still running thus the leds are under control of the counter. The outer while loop seems dead by now thus turning off the pwm from the panel does not switch off the LEDs.
