Rif.: 5V Power Source PXI-7841R

Goodmorning,

I'm working on a PXI-7841R using a SCB68 module as interface with external devices. Looking at"NI R Series Multifunction RIO User Manual" I can see that it's possible to draw 5V from terminal  35 and 1 of the SCB68 to power up external devices. However, if i measure the tension between terminal 1/35 and DGND the voltage is null. 

To have the output tension do I need to make some software operations or it is always available?

thanks for writing in our forum.

Usually you should see 5 V voltage on pins 1 and 35 without doing any software operation. If you cannot measure a 5 V voltage it is likely that the overcurrent protection fuse is broken. Have a check on this component and make sure it is fine.
