How to Reinstall NI-DAQmx on a PXIe-8880 via remote

Hi everyone,

I’m having trouble reinstalling NI-DAQmx on my PXI system and could use some guidance.

Here’s my setup:

• Chassis: PXIe-1092.
• Controller: PXIe-8880, connected to my laptop via Ethernet.
• Modules installed: PXI-6521, PXI-6515, and TB-4340.

The issue started when I uninstalled NI-DAQmx due to a compatibility error with the version I was using, which didn’t support the PXI modules properly. Now, I’m unsure how to transfer and install NI-DAQmx on the PXIe-8880 from my laptop over the Ethernet connection.

My questions are:

1. How can I confirm the correct version of NI-DAQmx for this configuration?
2. What is the procedure for installing NI-DAQmx on the PXIe-8880 from my laptop?

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

You didn't mention the software version and the OS of your PXIe-8880. It could be either one of these steps:

• Installing Software on Phar Lap Real-Time (RT) PXI Controller
• Installing Software on NI Linux Real-Time PXI Controllers

On the PXI is Linux and the laptop is Windows, thanks for the info.
