I am trying to create an adaptor board to go from the I/O cable ( SHC68-C68-D4) on the PXI-6551 to a DB25 connector. The NI part I need to use is a 778914-01. The issue I am having is that when searching for this part in the multisim database the only similar part that shows up is the NI-778914-01 which has only been setup for the PXIe-6366. How do I make a new part that works for the PXI-6551 and allows me to test the part with the labview software that I have?

Hi gmerrick,
I looked into this a little bit and according to the link below THE PXI-655x uses the 68-Pin Vertical VHDCI Connector:

I compared this connector to the 68-pin NI-PCIe-6321 component in the Multisim database which has the footprint NI-778914-01 and the dimensions seem to be the same. You should be able to use this component for your design. You can double-check just to be sure by matching the dimension on the footprint in Ultiboard to the dimensions from the datasheet but I think they are okay.
Hope this helps.
