Hello everybody,
I'm using a PXI 1033 chassis with 2 6513 SMUs and one 4110 power supply. However, when trying to enable the channels 1 and 2 with +20 and -20V no output voltage is applied. I read, that for larger power consumption an external power supply needs to be used, but even at 20mA compliance absolutely nothing happens, as you can see in the image below. (nothing is connected to the connectors of the PXI). The fuse is not broken, btw.
Is there something totally obvious what i'm missing? Or can please somebody explain what the reason could be for that? I appreciate every hint!
Thank you and best regards,
Ralph

Hi Ralph,
I quickly checked the specs of PXI-4110. Please see page 3:
http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/371635h.pdf
It says that the combined outputs of channels 1 and 2 must not exceed 3 W total, when internally powered.
I also found a similar case in the forum:
You can try installing the latest driver, and see whether it helps.
Cheers,
Bart

Dear bavci,
thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, it does not work.
What happened is, that we really had some Trouble with the Drivers. As soon as we updated the NI Drivers, our Windows crashed (bluescreen) and started working only after rolling back to the state before the update. Then we installed the PXI on another PC. All Slots are recognized as they should, but we still have the Problem as described before. The weird Thing is, that even when the Output of the voltage source Channel 1 / 2 is disabled, a voltage of ~1.5V is measured internally. Externally (using a multimeter i measure 10-50mV.
I apprechiate every hint, suggestion or solution.
thanks in advance!!
