PXIe-1085, AWG (PXI-4461) waveform turns off when DMM (PXI-4070) takes a reading

I saw this issue while developing code. The device I'm testing has a fan controller that outputs a pwm signal and expects a tach signal back that looks like a square wave. I send a command to the fan controller to turn on, and then using the PXI-4461 as an AWG, I supply a slow square wave so that the fan controller locks on and doesn't change it's pwm duty cycle. I then measure the duty cycle multiple times over a second to make sure it is locked on. This test worked just fine until I went to work on a different rack with a different configuration. The only difference was the 4461 and 4070 were right next to each other on the same bus in the PXIe-1085 chassis.

My question is, can instruments reset other instruments if they are on the same bus?

I have not had any issues with them resetting each other.  Perhaps they are trying to use the same clock and/or trigger line in the PXI chassis.
