PXIe-6570 - Hardware triggered source / measure sequence?

Hello,

Is there a way to do a hardware triggered source / measure sequence with the PXIe-6570 PPMU (like for nidcpower instruments)?

I need to do things like I-V characteristics, setting voltage and measuring current for a series of points.  Some times the source and measure are on different channels.  Sometimes a source or measure channel will be on external instrument.  The various channels need to be synchronized by a trigger.

BR,

Walter

No, PPMU is only software controlled, no way to hardware trigger.

PPMU specs are pretty loose compared to a good SMU to perform I-V sweep.

Thanks, Santhosh,

That is too bad.  For this application, the PPMU spec's are good enough, but I was hoping that we could use sequences and hardware triggering.

By the way, we just bought an I2C characterization setup from Soliton -- that is a great tool!

Thank you for using Soliton's products.

Hardware triggering of PPMU is good to have feature - this is typically available in other mainstream ATEs' Digital Pattern instruments, but those instruments have a lot of PCB real estate and I believe, the current design on 657x is already using all of the available PCB real estate and adding hardware triggers will add another magnitude of complexity, hope that the next generation of digital instruments gets this feature.
