PXIe-8840 doesn`t turn on

Hi, good morning all.

I have a PXIe-8840 in a PXIe-1082 chassis, and it worked fine yesterday. But this morning I can`t turn it on. 

The inhibit mode was set to default, and nothing happened when I pressed the inhibit button on the front panel;  Then I tried to plug into different sockets, because it happened once before, and plugging into a different socket could help. Turns out it worked. But when I shut it down, and tried to restart again, it couldn`t start, no matter which socket I plugged in. But the LEDs on the controller PCB is still on.

 

Then I tried to set the inhibit mode to manual, the inhibit LED on the front panel was on, the fan started to work, the PWR OK/FAULT LED on the PXIe-8840 controller blinked green, and no signal was sent to the monitor.  

Do any of you guys have any idea about it?

Hello Neroaczx, 

If the controller is not able to boot properly, it could be a hardware or a software issue with the controller. Try the follow this article steps to isolate whether it is a software or a hardware issue.
