Use DC power for PXIe-1082

Hello,

The specification of PXIe-1082 says the power supply of the chassis should AC.  Can I supply DC power (180V ~ 240V) to the chassis instead?  Somebody told me it is OK and he had tried it with 110V DC power.  Thanks.

Normally in devices the AC voltages will be converted to DC voltages using Rectifiers internally and then it will be used. I guess you can use the DC voltage directly also and it should work if the sine if correct. I am not the right person for giving the right suggestion but I am trying to help with the knowledge I have.
