We have an NI PXIe-8861 system with a 12-bay RAID array (Areca ARC-8018-.01.14.0114). After hot swapping the drive, the volume instantly went from degraded to failed, even though we are in a RAID5 configuration.
Now, the RAID set isn't even detected anymore even after putting the failed drive back in.
The user documentation says to contact NI before attempting RESCUE. What are the risks of attempting to RESCUE this RAID set?
As far as we know, only one drive failed and the array should be fine.
