Hello,
cybersecurity requirements are asking for encryption of file-system on our cRios (9054, 9068, etc). I wonder if there is something officially supported. In
Best Practices for Security on RIO Systems - part 1 , part 2 and part 3 there are many suggestions, but I haven't found anything about encrypting files and folders.
Any recommendation? Thanks in advance

Hi,
the way to go on Linux is usually to encrypt a partition with LUKS. But I don't think that it's possible to encrypt the whole NI Linux RT system with LUKS because this would need very deep changes on the OS. Though, encryption of a new created partition or an attached USB drive should be possible.

Thanks for the answer. We do not need encryption of the whole NI Linux RT, just some folders. We are going to try LUKS then.

Did it worked after all?

Eventually we did not try it out. I believe it would work though
