I am using a North Atlantic Industries 75G5 PXI card with a PXI Chassis running NI Phar Lap 2021. I was having trouble getting it configured in NI-Max after following the North Atlantic Instructions to use NI VISA Driver Wizard version 1.1.1.1. These instructions describe how to use NI VISA Driver Wizard to generate an ini and a inf file to be placed in the RT Controller's file system to make the PXI Card recognizable by NI VISA. When the PXI card is recognized by MAX there is a vendor and model number that shows up when the PXI card is selected as shown in the PXI75G5 image.
I then used an older version NI VISA Driver Wizard (version 17.5.0.49152) and generated the ini and the inf file. The ini files were the same in both versions. However, the inf file was different. When the inf file was copied to the C:\ni-rt\system folder of the PXI Controller (running Phar Lap 2019), then the PXI Card was discovered by NI-MAX.
I've attached the 2 INF files, and the INI file. The PXI Controller is a PXIe8821. Please let me know if you have suggestions of why this wouldn't work or how to use the newer version. The newer INF file shows Phar Lap in the comment section of the INF file, so I thought it would work.
