Continuous recording in ring memory and parallel evaluation of complex triggers in Python with nidaqmx

Good day! 

 

First of all, thank you for looking at this question. I'm new to this topic.

 

I have an NI cDAQ-9178 here and I can record vibration data.

 

My next goal is not only to implement a threshold detector, but to further process the signal and develop a trigger depending on the new calculations.

 

The data should be stored in a ring memory and when the trigger triggers, the ring buffer should be saved

 

My problem is that while recording I don't have access to the data to process it in parallel. And I always have to restart the measurement because it doesn't measure continuously.

 

Is there a way to realize this?
