I have a NI 5840R PXI slot on a PXI box in my lab and am trying to do some very wideband modulation. As far as online documentation goes, it looks like the sampling rate is 1.25 GS/s, but the slot itself says 1 GHz BW written up front. Could someone please help me understand the HW limitations in terms of BW? It seems like a 1.25 GS/s sample rate can support at most 600 MHz of BW, far lesser than the 1 GHz displayed on the chassis. Could someone please help reconcile these numbers? Also, what is the best method to generate an IQ file for this wideband modulation.
