Measure distance

Can someone help me
I want to measure in a white & Black image the coordinates.
The image is white and looks like an ellipse, and I want to measure the lenge and wide from  the Image.

I had thought I turn the image into an array, and a program to be an array read and in a form Boolien convert.
Then perhaps the program should lessen the coordinates into a WHILE LOOP always  add +1 to Koordinat, as long as array is still true
