Problems with resampling an unequally sampled signal

Hi there,

I am having some issues with resampling an unequally sampled signal.  The TSA Resampling vi (unequal) seems to work on some signals but on others there are major peaks and valleys that appear in the resampled signal that make it unusable. I was just wondering if anyone has any insights on what may be the limitations of this vi and if there are any alternate solutions.  I am assuming maybe the spline interpolation does not work well enough with an unevenly collected signal such as this?

I am attaching an example of one channel of data I am dealing with that I put into the LV example resampling vi.

Thanks so much for any help you can provide!

Hi,

You can try using the "Resample Waveforms (Single Shot).vi" to do so. It is a polymorphic VI so you can input an XY graph. You can also choose different interpolation mode. Instead of using spline interpolation, you have the option to choose linear or coerce. I think that might work better with your signal.

I hope this helps!

Thank-you!  I think you are right about linear being better for this signal.  I will give it a try!
