We are conducting research by connecting all 3 ports of the battery test system to a heater rod. Ports 2 and 3 work as intended, but when Port 1 is supplied 3 Amps, the voltage is extremely low. The heater also doesn’t indicate reception of power.
We tried switching plugs to make sure it wasn’t an external issue with our wiring. When they were switched, it was still Port 1 with the same issue, showing that it is an issue with the physical port itself.
This indicates to us that there is some sort of internal resistance that makes the voltage go so low. Has anyone experienced something like this before, or know what to do when this happens?
