NI 488.2 Digital I/O in Special Mode, and ENOL Errors

Solved!

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the NI help forums and was hoping someone might understand the error codes I'm getting from my testing set up. Here is an overview of the instruments: Instron 8800 Control system with a Instron hydraulic fatigue testing frame, hooked up to a Windows XP computer via a NI GPIB PCI card. I have updated the software and drivers to a newer version for the GPIB. I'm running cyclical testing on large steel specimens at around 4-5Hz with varying stress ranges. I have been having issue with getting the system to run properly due to some communication issues between the controller or noise in the system.

The error codes I'm currently combating are the ENOL error, and a Digital I/O in Special Mode error. The ENOL error is fatal to the test and will cause it to stop. The Digital I/O in Special mode error is does not stop the test, but I would like to know what it means to hopefully diagnose my issue. Has anyone got any experience with these two errors?
