Usually I wireframe UI designs, but after reading an article about "storyframing" I'm considering focusing more on a written story alongside the visual approach I usually use.

I think most of us know things like "Emergency stop buttons should be obvious" but having a written user workflow alongside diagrams could point out less obvious thing and make user manuals easier to provide when a project is finished.
