How to determine what version TS/LV/Vision SW from part number.

Solved!
Go to solution

I am trying to transfer all of the licenses I bought over the years to my manager. I am trying to include the version of TS/LV/Vision SW with the license number. This information is not included with the purchase order. These are a combination of run-time, debug, and development licenses. These are all perpetual licenses. When I search via part number, I get 'not found' errors. Is there a way of correlating part number to version? Thanks.

Why am I doing this? I get to retire in 3 months.😊

John, NI software part numbers do not change from version to version. The software version that you have is associated with what is released at the time you purchased the software using the PN, so what is licensed is governed by the software's S/N, which you might not have anymore.

The following KB might be of help: Transfer an NI Software License to Another User and maybe contact the email listed there.

So I did this the hard way. I entered each and every serial number I had into the license manager and saw which version got activated. Then I went and deactivated them.
