Energy meter Lovato

Hello, I'm a Labview beginner. I need to acquire the pulse output signal from a Lovato DME D300 T2 device with a USB-6001. What is possible and how is the wiring done?
I thank in advance whoever wants to answer.

You have to use the counter resource on PFI0/1 to count the pulses from your energy meter.

I would need to look into your energy meter to suggest the right connection. Maybe someone would else reply before me if they get the time.

If it can be useful at this link you can find the energy meter manual:

Not easy though, below are the issues,

  • USB 6001 inputs are only 5V tolerant
  • Your energy meter has two outputs, but they require 10-30V for operation

Do you have an external 12V DC supply that you can use here and a bunch of resistors?

Your device states 10-30V for operation but worth a try for the below connection

Using the output in PNP configuration, use NI MAX test panel to monitor pulse count,

Thank you, you are very kind. I will try this setup by running the 5V energy meter. If this does not work, an external power supply with resistors must be provided. I ask you the kindness to post the scheme of this solution as well. Thanks
