Justin,
With the latency of 86ms I still cannot get a resolution of 10ms to timestamp the serial ports data. The buffer overflow problem is now resolved, thanks to you and Josh, but I am still not sure how to make my application work.
Thank you very much for you time,
Tihomir

If you're just trying to take multiple timestamps off of one signal, take a look at Time Stamp Clock-Cont.VI from the NI Example Finder. To find this example, open LabVIEW and navigate to Help->Find Examples...
Then, make sure the Browse tab is selected, and navigate to Hardware Input and Output -> Timing and Synchronization -> Time-Based -> Time Stamp Clock-Cont.VI
Hi Justin,
I can't find that example in any of my 3 latest versions of LV (2009,8.6 or 8.5.1) do I need a non standard toolkit installed to find it ?

Hey Peter,
Those examples are included with the NI-Sync driver, available for download at ni.com/support
You can find the latest version (v3.1) here:

Thanks Justin, I think I'll pass on downloading that example since NI-Sync is over 1GB !! A tad too much overhead for probably 50kB of example code !
